Pragma is Greek for deed.
Pragma Health is a father-and-son business, and the story begins with the father. Bob spent years in a burn-out. Far too long — and it is exactly why he understands what people in that situation go through. He started guiding others, and when he heard that cold could support recovery, cold became part of his approach. That is how it began: with burn-out coaching, and with cold.
What happened next, we did not plan. The people who came for the cold brought their partners. Then their friends. Their questions grew broader: not only stress and recovery, but energy, sleep and a body that responds differently than it used to. So in 2019 we made a deliberate choice: cold is no longer the main thing, but one part of a broader approach. Together, Bob and Joël built on what stands today: three programs, one way of working.
“They happily think along about the bigger picture […]. They have a very pragmatic approach.”— Alexander S. · Google · translated from Dutch
“Joël and his father are professional people and genuinely kind; you feel a lot of energy there, before and after the treatment.”— Adrian M. · Google · translated from Dutch
That name is no coincidence. Pragma is Greek for deed: what you do, not what you say about it. And the degree symbol in our logo recalls where it began: with the cold.
We do not treat illnesses. We strengthen what your body can do on its own, and that starts with lifestyle. Nutrition, sleep, stress and movement decide how your body responds to everything we do; the technology amplifies what lifestyle sets in motion. That is why every program comes with guidance, and why we also ask something of you.
Pragmatic also means: listen first. That you sleep badly, we hear in the conversation. That you're not rested, we see. What is measurable, we measure: we map your body composition at the start and again at fixed moments, so progress becomes visible instead of assumed. And because healthy living shouldn't be a second job, we give you one thing at a time. Removing noise is part of the work. Our own noise included.
Every program begins the same way: first a conversation, then a measurement. Along the way, guidance and fixed moments where we check together what is changing. The method is fixed; the attention is personal. That is how the studio is built around what happens with you.
Getting to know us? It starts here the way every program starts: with a conversation. The Pragma Consult costs €75, and we credit it back when you continue afterwards.
